Something interesting about the furry fandom is that many of us adopt online personas that we use on MUCKs, chatrooms, etc. Since the fandom is about animals, most of these personas happen to be animals.

Since I like big cats, I decided to pick a leopard as my persona. I like leopards because they are solitary, can climb trees, and are the most populus of all of the big cats. They're survivors.

He'd noticed him shortly after entering the diner,
watching people as he always did in public places, looking for
suitable subjects to capture in his art. He saw him sitting there,
alone in the corner of the shabby little establishment, huddled
over his meal. His wings drooped wearily behind him, the human-form
vampire bat stared listlessly into the empty space before him.

Watching this old exotic, a tinge of familiarity
